*We'll Take It*
Ok, I'm back from a weekend of wild sex, lost of cheap but yummy korean food, and apartment searching....but most important I was able to be with my hubby! As I drove into LA friday afternoon, I decide to take the 405 *BIT MISTAKE* I was sitting in traffic for 2 hours...2 HOURS!!!! Did mad loads of people decidee to move to the LA area withing the last 10 yrs? I don't remember traffic being that bad when I lived in LA (again that was 10 yrs ago...but still). What happend to all those census reports stating that so many people were moving out of the LA area? Anyhow as I finally made it out of traffic I pulled in to my hubby's shop and was greeted by the lovely *boys in da hood* Why is it that they stand around and *holla* at everything with 2 legs and a hole? Anyhow, they're harmless.....My hubby came over, gave me a kiss and walked me to the office. After he closed we checked into a hotel in Gardena, showered up, and had our *lil dessert* before we headed out for dinner.
Saturday, we got up early went out for some breaksfast and headed to the shop. I did his laundry at the coin op around the corner, and tidied up the shop a bit...why are men so messy? That night we went out with some of his friends (I'm sure my stomach and I were REALLY fun to hang out with), and headed back to the hotel.....ya'll know what happens next so i'll spare the details.
Sunday we started the aprtment search early....we started with the Korean community first, just to see what was out there. We called up a bunch of people from the classifieds in the Korean Times...looked at a few apartments, and also looked at some houses that were for rent. Twards mid day I was beat and nothing was really eye catching. We saw a house in Gardena in the price range we were looking for, with a yard and laundry hookups...but I wasn't too keen on the area. We then headed out to Torrance (actually borderline Torrance/Gardena)....and saw this newly remodeled 2 bedroom house. It was soooo cute. Well maintained backyard, new carpet, new cabinets and granite top counters.....and in a good neighborhood! We decided to leave a deposit and write up the contract. We didn't give her an exact date, but we told her we'd be moving in within 30 days. I'm excited but also a little hesitant....did we make a decision to early? I'm hoping this will work out....we're not going to be living there forever, right?
