*Bitter Sweet Memories*
I once did a post about Friendster when I first started this blog thing...I'm still amazed by the people that I've re-connected with. This evening for instance, I got a call on my cell from an old friend from high school. When she told me her name I still wasn't too sure who it was, and I busted out the old "who's this?" She laughed and said, "you still have that attitude in your tone". Brought back alot of memories.
Anyhow...we talked for about 2 hours. Talked about what we've been through these past 10 years, where we are today, and of course gossiped about everyone else we knew. Crazy how we all change and grow up. She and I actually ran into some bad terms back then, but we talked as if nothing ever happened. It takes a really *big* person to actually forget and forgive. I'm not sure I'm that big yet when I think about a few people that put a thorn in my teenage years..but I'm working on it...besides they're just *bitter sweet memories*
If you haven't checked out Friendster yet, I really recommend it!

i've connected with a few people on friendster...mostly high school classmates. there's one guy who used to be my art class buddy. i found out that he got his art degree and he's an actual artist. i thought that's pretty cool.
LE: funny how you find out what ppl have accomplished!
Hey, and thank you fro dropping comments on my friends blogs! You're such a sweet heart!
how fantastic when i hear success stories regarding technological uses!
i've been very weiry of technology for some time now; this is ironic, considering technology marketing was my focus for so long. if you have ever seen the flick "blade runner" (the novel is named: "do androids dream of electronic sheep") encapsulate this fear.
in case you haven't seen it, i won't spoil the movie by retelling it here. however, a key message of the movie: what does it mean to be human.
i just wouldn't want people to be too dependent on technology; i've become far too integrated with my electronic devices. i can't remember any phone number off hand, i need my cell phone to recall the numbers for me.
what does this have to do with friendster? not much, other than i wouldn't want to be too dependent on friendster (or blogging) to be my only source of social contact :-)
i love my online friends, but they know cyber-relationships can't compare to live-relationships.
speaking of, i'm running late for dinner with friends!
Yup I met up with a bunch of my old friends... Have you tried myspace.com yet that is great too... Dear lordy what would I ever do with out the "internets"
ooh, ooh, ooh!!! Who was it? (just being nosy! lol )
you're in my latest post ('that wasn't chicken') - see if you can spot yourself. enjoy! - nl
Out of all my years in a private school [because I was a fag and got beat up all the time] I am only friends with one person from my past. It's strange to see your peer group shift so dramatically. But healing the past is the best way at making peace with it.
