*Interview*
Ok, I just got back from an interveiw with a local distributor. Not quite sure how I did. I hate those damn interviews where they give you the impression they want you, and then at the end of the interview they say, "we'll be contacting you in a few days."
I'm thinking that I gave them a good impression...they were impressed with my education and past work history. They took me around and showed me where my office would be...that's right.....finally no more cubicles....I get an office (no window though). Anyhow they said that they had a few more interviews to do today, and that they will be calling me back either by then end of the day, or on monday. I'm not going to get my hopes up yet.
Anyhow, you guys are probably wondering why I had an interview today. See, I have the luxury of working from my home (at the moment)....but I'm kinda getting sick of that so I went job hunting and applied for a job that met my salary requirements, and seemed interesting. I submitted my resume 2 days ago, and they called me yesterday wanting an interview. We'll see how it goes. I'm not in NEED of a job....just wanted to do something different, so if i don't get it...no biggie. My current job will always be there (hopefully...never know these days).

I thought you had a job where you were traveling? Is that the same job, you just work from home when you're not traveling?

Preachy: I do have a job where I travel, but that's only by project. My full time job is an interpreter. I used to work at headquarters in Monterey, but they've made it possible for me to work from home, now that I've moved to another city! Lucky gurk, huh? Although it kinda gets old...working from home~Blah
i'd rather work from home, but that's just me. good luck..i hope you get the opportunity you want. having an office would be nice.
i would love to work from home because i hate the people at work... but at the same time, at least i can leave my work at the office. if i worked from home, i'd probably never stop working and that would suck....
