*Hair Disaster*
So, I was just loving Quyen's post and pictures of her new hair do!~!~!~! My hair is the same length as hers and I have the layers (which have grown out now)...but her side sweeping bangs were just too hot! I had to get them too....
So I go to the hair salon (been there once before for a trim) and tell them that I'm wanting those side sweeping bangs.....so she cuts away, but I'm noticing that my new bangs were looking kinda short. Getting worried here...because to be honest, bangs never really worked for me due to the fact that I have a cowlick, but the stylist told me that hair dryers and round brushes do wonders...
Wonders my ass! I was sooo right about my bangs being too short...my hair is a disaster! I have yet to see the wonders of a hair dryer and round bruch. My hair does grow fairly fast so I cannot wait till it grows out. All I wanted was some side sweeping bangs....and I could have sworn I made that pretty clear to the hair stylist.
I'll just have to play around with my hair for now until they grow out. I'm even considering getting extensions for them....guess we'll just have to wait and see...Gah~

extensions for bangs? Bwahahaha!!! Oh, I'm sure you still look beautiful, no matter what your hair looks like. And side sweeping bangs can work, too. I have them. Usually they're out of my face, but you can give them the effect you want by using a .....round brush and hair dryer.....

nonsense. you don't need extensions. if you hate your bangs, just get a really cute pin/barette and keep them up.

I'm sure it's not that bad! You should have told me you were going in for the cut! I would have told you exactly what to say to the hairdresser (my mom is a hairdresser and I worked in a salon for 75% of my life). Next time, ask for the first layer to end at your lips (this is the side sweeping bang) and then do shorter layers on top while leaving the length. You have to be careful though, because most haridressers aren't good at layering hair. It's very hard to do well.
Either way, I'm sure it's not that bad. Just find different ways to work it :) I know some girls do the Gwen Stefani thing and pull their hair back into a high ponytail and then use a bobbypin to take their front bangs and create a curl on top. Quyen: Ok..that is exactly what i DIDN'T tell the hair dresser. I know I'm making it bigger then it is...i just feel like it looks so awful, and I don't have the patience to wait and let them grow out...like you said, I have to play around with them...

LE: i frquently get told that....i'm also told that my facial expressions are just as dramatic....hope it's not a bad thing!
My diaster was a few weeks ago too! LOL!! Do your bangs stick straight out? (mine did!)
