*Speaking In Tongue*

I've been interpreting for the IRS today....finally they're taking a break....I feel like my tongue is going to fall out!!!! I started at 7:30 AM, and it's now 10:31 After this, I've been scheduled to interpret for Los Angeles County Juvenile Division. I feel like I'm the Government's bitch today!~!~!~!

I can't believe how high the demand is for Korean...wth?! I used to be able to interpret all day long without any complaints...but now I'm starting to realize how many messed up Koreans there are. I use to feel sorry for the Koreans that I come across while working, but now I'm seeing how coniving they have become....they are much more smarter than we think, and the Gov't is catching on!~!~! hehehehe

Anyhow, I'd better get back to work...gotta go speak in tongue, heh. Hopefully I'll be able to blog later on today!

Last time I was here in Japan, I worked as a paralegal for a Japanese company that was involved in manufacturing, media, etc. And being one of maybe 2 or 3 native English speakers in the entire company (of maybe 1500 people), alot of the translation/interpreter work fell on my shoulders, and it would annoy the hell out of me.

Especially when it came to interpreting for some visiting clients from America or something, and they wouldn't tell me what the meeting/conversation would be covering, so I'd rock up there and they'd come up with some technical jargon like - "pre-treated unwoven fabric"... Have you had any like that?

i think that's great that you get to use your powers in such ways .. i think i would end up incorrectly interpreting just to have some fun. i'm sure you did a fine job and that's why they are calling on your services.

maybe it's time to renew your contract and increase your rates.

just/kidding.
